I am a full-time working waitress and student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
I serve out of necessity. Like so many of my peers, I am paying for my education entirely on my own, and cannot afford to simply take classes (which can be a difficult task on it’s own.) Full-time school mixed with full-time work often creates a lack of sleep or social life, but a semblance of balance is possible, if even momentarily.
Taking 15 credit hours while balancing a 40 hour work week can be complicated, but possible with a large amount of caffeine and a little bit of help.
